Eijiro Kirishima (My Hero Academia) (2024)

I've confronted plenty of scary stuff so far. But there's one thing that scares me more than anything... And that's going back to how I used to be! That's why I never wanna regret anything ever again!

Eijiro Kirishima ( Kirishima Eijirō?), also known as the Sturdy Hero: Red Riot (剛健ヒーロー Gōken Hīrō Reddo Raiotto?), is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.

Harder! More! Grow stronger! Body... and spirit! Come on, harden! Become a wall... a wall that's INDESTRUCTIBLE!! After the training I've done to improve my quirk, this is my quirk at its maximum. Red Riot: UNBREAKABLE!!
~ Red Riot using his ultimate move Red Riot: Unbreakable for the first time.
I won't regret anything! NOW OR EVER AGAIN!! I'll do it. I'll become a hero! I'll protect people! If I crack then I'll HARDEN again!! Stay strong! Protect others! Even if it means your life!
~ Eijiro's inner monologue during his battle with Kendo Rappa.

Eijiro Kirishima, also known as the Sturdy Hero: Red Riot or simply Red Riot, is a major protagonist in the 2014 Japanese superhero manga series My Hero Academia and its 2016 anime television series adaptation of the same name. Appearance[]

Eijiro is a muscular young man of average height and a rather impressive physique for his young age. He has red eyes pointed slightly inwards, and a small scar just above his right eye (which Horikoshi admits he frequently forgets to draw). He also has small eyebrows and pointed teeth. His hair is somewhat long, dyed a bright red, and spiked away from his head at all angles with gel, with two more pronounced tufts spiked on either side of his forehead like little horns. This lofty style takes a full three minutes to set. During middle school, however, his hair was black and left in its natural state: just under shoulder length with some shorter bangs between his eyes. He changed it to his current style shortly after being accepted into U.A. High. During school, he wears the standard U.A. uniform with dark red trainers instead of the usual brown dress shoes. In his hero costume, he wears two dark red gear-shaped shoulder pads. A jagged sash joins the one on his left to the right side of his belt, which has a red "R" set into its center, standing for his Hero name, "Red Riot" Below this, he wears baggy black pants and half cape with a ripped hem. He also sports dark red boots and thick rings around his calves. He leaves his chest bare, and wears a wired guard around his face, reaching from just above his hairline to below his jaw, an extra piece going over the bridge of his nose, and some spiked pieces around his mouth that resemble little fangs. Overall, the look slightly resembles an Oni, a troll-like creature commonly seen in Japanese folklore, but whether this was purposeful or not has yet to be confirmed. During the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, his costume later gained black sleeves, which he wears to prevent civilians from being hurt by his Quirk during rescues.

Personality[]

Eijiro is a boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for manliness, often using the terms "manly" and "unmanly" to describe things and people he does or doesn't like, respectively. Those who showcase a noble, brave, or determined attitude tend to emotionally move him to tears, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. Similarly, he will call out traits that are the opposite of that, such as cowardice and dirty play. Eijiro himself is determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before himself. He is also a big fan of Crimson Riot, a retro hero from whom he takes inspiration, including personal values and his hero name. Eijiro is very honest and kind-hearted, having a straightforward way of thinking and following a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regret. Thanks to his respectful and encouraging attitude, he's easily capable of making friends with most people he encounters, particularly those that show as much passion and resolve as he does. Loyal and dedicated to his friends, Eijiro is willing to break laws and rules to help or save them, becoming regretful if he cannot come to their aid. Eijiro has a strong sense of responsibility, sometimes being very hard on himself for any adverse outcomes that befall him or his friends. As such, he's always thinking about further improving his abilities and strengths to not feel weak or burdensome to others. Eijiro has stated more than once that he does not think very highly of his own Hardening Quirk, thinking it lacks the flashiness usually found in the Pro Hero scene. He will get downright offended if he sees someone with a similar Quirk. Eijiro is worried about not having a good enough Quirk for hero work that his skills could not compare to other hero prospects. A lot of this self-doubt seems to have come from an incident in Junior High when Eijiro saw Mina Ashido stop an underclassman from being bullied and save some students from a threatening figure. Eijiro's friends pointed out that Mina will quickly become a Hero due to her outgoing personality and athletic nature. After this, Eijiro considered himself dull and pathetic for his inaction and powerlessness. However, thanks to an old, recorded interview featuring his idol, Eijiro gained the perspective he needed to regain his composure and overcome most insecurities. From that point on, Eijiro started working, studying, and training diligently. Eijiro decided to reinvent himself after being accepted into U.A. High, adopting a tough, confident, fiery persona that he considers ideal for the hero he wants to be. Although Eijiro may not be as hot-blooded and competitive as Katsuki Bakugo, he does not shy away from comparing himself to him, with Izuku stating that the two have managed to develop a relationship between equals. As a result, Eijiro is notably one of the few people that Katsuki holds in higher esteem.

History[]

When he was three years old, Eijiro Kirishima woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. When he rubbed his eye, his Hardening Quirk manifested for the first time. This made his hand harden and caused Eijiro to cut himself, which left a scar on his right eye. Afterwards, the young Eijiro initially hated his Quirk for hurting him.

Despite this, Eijiro began to admire the hero Crimson Riot, whose Quirk was very similar to his. This admiration caused Eijiro to adopt Crimson Riot's ideology and mentality that, as long as he has a manly spirit, then Quirks don't even matter. All that is needed is to train hard to cover for the Quirk with the spirit. Eijiro followed those tips and trained for years to strengthen himself.

Eijiro and Mina Ashido attended Mustafa Private Middle School during Junior High, however, they were not close then. One day, he tried to protect one student from two bullies, but one of them smashed a rock into Eijiro's face. Eijiro yelled in pain while the bully remarked that Eijiro had a simple Hardening Quirk and nothing more, then the bullies took the underclassman with them. Eijiro's middle school friends told him not to bother with the bullies, but he was determined to help the underclassman, encouraging himself with Crimson Riot's word about manly spirit.

Then, Mina Ashido walked by the bullies and managed to get them to get along with the underclassman before going to see her group of friends. Eijiro's friends remarked that Mina was going to take the U.A. Entrance Exam to become a hero, believing that she was capable of becoming one due to her athletic ability and her strong Quirk. Eijiro and his friends talked about what future careers they wanted to pursue and Eijiro's friends did not consider U.A. High School at all, while Eijiro stated that he had not decided, but he also wanted to go to the U.A.

Mina's outgoing nature and strong personality made Eijiro self-conscious of his own appearance and personality. This was worsened during an incident where Eijiro, dominated by fear, found himself unable to stand up against a giant figure who was threatening fellow students of his school, who were saved by Mina when she managed to deceive the terrifying person by giving him false directions. This incident left Eijiro feeling wholly incapable of being a hero primarily due to his hesitation in risking his life to save others.

Afterward, while in his room, Eijiro felt disappointed with himself for being a coward, and gave up on his dreams of going to U.A. High School and was prepared to stop being chivalrous due to his true colors. Angry at himself, Eijiro threw a book at his bookshelf, accidentally activating an old holographic projector depicting an interview with Crimson Riot, in which the hero reveals that, despite his reckless hero image, he does feel fear when putting his life on the line and condones anyone who doesn't. He fears danger, but he feared the dying look on someone's face far more. He believes in living a life with no regrets.

The words of Eijiro's idol, which had inspired him before, again inspired him further to keep following his dream of attending U.A. High School. He rewrote U.A. on his aspiration report and decides not to repeat the same mistake. At middle school, Eijiro apologized to Mina's friends for not saving them, to which her friends do not mind. Eijiro committed to training himself and studying hard in order to pass the U.A. Entrance Exam.

Synopsis[]

Entrance Exam Arc[]

Eijiro goes to U.A. High School to participate in the U.A. Entrance Exams. With Mina sitting next to him, he listens intently about how the Entrance Exam works. During the practical exam, Eijiro gets a lot of points, both for destroying the villain bots and helping other participants, which allow him to place second overall.

Eijiro patiently waits to receive the results from U.A., until finally he receives a hologram from the Principal Nezu informing him that he has been admitted to the Hero School, which makes him really happy. His classmates at Middle School congratulate him on his success. As the beginning of a new stage in his life, Eijiro decides to dye his hair red and comb it in a spiky style.

The morning before classes started at U.A., Eijiro meets up with Mina again, who is surprised to see his new hairstyle. Eijiro claims to have left his insecurities behind and will be a Hero who can protect people. Mina berates Eijiro for beating himself up over that incident, playfully telling him to not pressure himself too much and to let the change just happen naturally once Eijiro became truly confident about himself. Eijiro thanks her for her support.

Quirk Apprehension Test Arc[]

Eijiro Kirishima is first introduced when Izuku Midoriya arrives on the first day of class. He is sitting at his desk, alongside the other Class 1-A students. Shortly afterwards, the class makes their way to the P.E grounds, where Shota Aizawa informs them that they must undertake a Quirk apprehension test. Eijiro is shocked by his teacher's announcement that the student who places last would be expelled. However, once everyone completes the test, Shota states that no one will be expelled, revealing that it was all a rational deception to make sure everyone gave it their all.

Battle Trial Arc[]

The next day at school, All Might teaches Class 1-A's Basic Hero Training Class and announces that the class will participate in Battle Trials. Eijiro is excited by the idea of combat training and changes into his hero costume with the rest of his class. Eijiro is partnered with Hanta Sero on "Team J" after being randomly paired.

While observing the battle between Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya, Eijiro says Katsuki is unmanly for trying to ambush Izuku. He also questions what they're saying during the battle, as there's no sound through the surveillance footage. After witnessing Katsuki's large attack on Izuku, Eijiro becomes increasingly concerned about Izuku's safety.

Watching the match between Shoto Todoroki vs Mashirao Ojiro and Toru Hagakure, Eijiro and All Might begin to shiver when Shoto uses his Quirk. Later on, after the battle trials, when Izuku returns to class, Eijiro, along with his other classmates, surround him, praising his performance during the Battle Trial and introduce themselves.

U.S.J. Arc[]

During their next homeroom class, Shota Aizawa announces Class 1-A must choose a class president. Eijiro and his classmates are excited by the idea of representing their class. After voting, Izuku Midoriya is elected and Eijiro openly supports him.

Later on, the school sirens go off at lunch and students evacuate in a panic, creating a large traffic jam. Eijiro is caught in the mob, but the situation is diffused by Tenya Ida, who reveals it is a false alarm caused by the media trespassing on school grounds. Afterward, Izuku resigns as class president and nominates Tenya in his place. Eijiro supports the decision because he saw that Tenya manned up and took charge of the previous situation.

Shota interrupts and instructs the class to suit up and prepare to head out for rescue training. While on the bus traveling to an outside facility, Eijiro speaks with his classmates regarding Quirk's and their relation to pro heroes popularity. He says that he wishes for a flashier Quirk, believing it would garner him more fame. Izuku argues that Eijiro's Quirk is strong enough for him to become a popular pro, but Eijiro restates his point by using Shoto and Katsuki as examples of Quirk's perfect for professional heroes.

The class eventually arrives at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, greeted by Thirteen. However, they are interrupted by the arrival of the League of Villains, lead by Tomura Shigaraki. As the villains keep showing up one after another, Eijiro is seen evacuating with his class, but they end up coming across Kurogiri, who blocks their way. Eijiro, together with Katsuki, attempt to attack the villain, but are unsuccessful due to Kurogiri's amorphous body. The villain then uses his Quirk and warps Eijiro, along with Katsuki, to the Ruins Zone of the U.S.J.

In the Ruins Zone, Eijiro and Katsuki are ambushed by a group of villains, but they are both able to hold their own and easily defeat them. Eijiro says that they should go and save the others, worrying about his classmates that do not have battle-effective Quirks. Katsuki, however, decides to go and fight Kurogiri instead, much to Eijiro's surprise. After hearing Katsuki's reasoning to go after Kurogiri, Eijiro notices Katsuki's calm attitude, much to Katsuki's chagrin. Eijiro decides to go with Katsuki.

Eijiro and Katsuki eventually reach the central plaza, where they attack Tomura and Kurogiri respectively. Eijiro attempts to punch Tomura, but the latter evades him. Eijiro expresses his desire to support All Might, but the hero refuses and tells them to escape instead. Tomura attempts to attack Eijiro and the others, but All Might's fight with Nomu prevents him from getting close. Eijiro and the others watch in awe of All Might's strength as the Number One Hero defeats the Nomu.

Eijiro withdraws himself from the rest of the fight, but witnesses Izuku rushing to All Might's side. Izuku and All Might are both saved when Tenya returns to the U.S.J. with pro heroes as reinforcements. After the remaining villains are defeated, Eijiro rushes to check on Izuku's condition. Cementoss arrives and blocks Eijiro's way, before he discovers All Might's weak form.

He instructs Eijiro to regroup with his class. Eijiro follows the hero's instructions and joins his class outside the facility before returning to school.

U.A. Sports Festival Arc[]

Two days after the attack on the U.S.J., Eijiro and his classmates return to school and talk about the attack. After Shota returns to class, Eijiro and his peers are lectured about the importance of the upcoming U.A. Sports Festival. Eijiro is more than excited to participate despite some of his classmates' concerns over holding the Festival so soon after the attack. Eijiro is freaked out when Ochaco Uraraka gets overly excited and demands the class chant that they will do their best.

At the end of the day, Class 1-A's exit gets blocked by a crowd of students from other classes. Katsuki confronts and insults the crowd, making enemies out of everyone else before leaving. Eijiro tries to get Katsuki to defend the class, but he replies that the crowd of students are irrelevant and it's only important that he defeats them. Eijiro is moved by Katsuki's "manly exit".

For the next two weeks before the festival, Eijiro trains at the Replica City District. When the day of the U.A. Sports Festival arrives, Eijiro changes into his P.E. clothes and prepares with his class in their designated waiting room. Like the rest of his peers, Eijiro takes notice when Shoto Todoroki challenges Izuku Midoriya. He tries to diffuse the situation, but Shoto refuses and replies that the festival isn't a team effort.

Before the festival begins, First Year Chief Referee: Midnight calls Katsuki to the stage to lead the pledge. Instead, he simply announces that he will win the games, angering his fellow competitors and generates booes from the crowd. Eijiro and his classmates aren't surprised, they expected Katsuki to say something like that. Midnight announces the preliminaries will be an Obstacle Race four kilometers around the stadium, which immediately begins after the rules are explained. Shoto gets out to an early lead by freezing the stadium's exit, but Eijiro avoids the ice by jumping through the exit. Next, everyone reaches the first obstacle: a blockade of Villain Bots from the entrance exam, including several giant Zero-Point Villains.

Shoto freezes one of the giant robots solid while it's off balance, causing it to fall on Eijiro and Tetsutetsu from Class 1-B. Eijiro survives by using his hardening Quirk and damns Shoto for endangering others like that. Eijiro believes only he could have survived, but is shocked when Tetsutetsu uses his Steel Quirk to break free from underneath the robot as well. Eijiro is discouraged when he notices Tetsutetsu's Quirk is similar to his own, fearing he won't be able to stand now. Eijiro finishes the Obstacle Race in ninth place, qualifying him for the second event: The Cavalry Battle.

After Midnight explains the rules, everyone forms their teams for the Cavalry Battle. After failing to team up with Shoto, Eijiro asks Katsuki to form a team. Katsuki forgets Eijiro's name and greets him by "dumb hair". Eijiro takes offense to this and points out how their hair styles are similar. Eijiro understands that Katsuki will need a strong front horse for the Cavalry Battle and his Quirk would be perfect for resisting Katsuki's explosions. Katsuki replies that he needs someone with guts, and Eijiro convinces him to form a team by promising to go after Izuku Midoriya's team together. Hanta Sero and Mina Ashido join them.

The Cavalry Battle begins and, like many of the other teams, Team Bakugo goes after Team Midoriya's ten million points. Katsuki tries to attack them in the air, but is blocked by Fumikage Tokoyami's Dark Shadow Quirk. Fellow member of Team Bakugo, Hanta Sero, catches Bakugo, garnering Eijiro's praise. Soon after, Team Bakugo's points are stolen by Team Monoma. Neito Monoma from Class 1-B taunts Katsuki, enraging him. An angry Katsuki tells Eijiro that their plans have changed: before they go after Team Midoriya, they must destroy Class 1-B.

Neito evades Katsuki's first attack and then blasts him with an explosion. Surprised, Eijiro comments that it's weird Neito is using Katsuki's Quirk. Then Neito quickly taps Eijiro's forehead before blocking Katsuki's next attack. When the smoke clears, Eijiro is shocked to see Neito is using his hardening power to defend himself. Katsuki figures out Neito's Quirk is the ability to copy other people's Quirks.

Katsuki tries to attack again, but Eijiro is immobilized by Kojiro Bondo's Quirk and Neito flees. Mina has to use her Quirk to disolve the glue and release him. The next time Team Bakugo is able to get close, Katsuki flies off and attacks on his own. Although Eijiro warns him not to fly off on his own, Katsuki is able to steal enough points to move his team to second place. Eijiro is satisfied, but his team leader is anything but. Katsuki demands that they take the rest of Team Monoma's points before going after Izuku's team.

Using Hanta and Mina's Quirks strategically, Team Bakugo charges at Neito and Katsuki takes back their original headband. They go after the ten million points, which was now in the possession of Team Todoroki, but time runs out just as they arrive on the scene. Hanta is happy with second place, but Eijiro notes that Katsuki is not satisfied at all, as they all watch him scream in anger.

Midnight announces the finals will be a One on One Fighting Tournament and everyone draws lots to see who they will face in the first bracket. Eijiro expresses his excitement to participate in the finals he has watched every year growing up. He matches up with Tetsutetsu, much to his irritation.

Eijiro duels Tetsutetsu in the seventh match of the first round. They receive similar intros from Present Mic, further annoying Eijiro. He and Tetsutetsu fist fight using their hardened bodies, trading blows back and forth until they eventually knock each other out. Midnight rules that after they both recover, a victor will be decided via an arm wrestling contest.

Once the last match of the first round ends, the arm wrestling match commences. They both use their Quirks to try and gain an advantage, but Tetsutetsu's iron gives way and Eijiro pins his arm down to win and move on to the next round. Eijiro offers his hand to Tetsutetsu, congratulating him on a match well fought. Tetsutetsu shakes Eijiro's hand and thanks him for the compliment.

Eijiro returns to his class just after the start of Izuku and Shoto's battle. He's upset at himself for arriving late, but Denki congratulates him on his victory. Eijiro thanks him and comments that Katsuki is next, to which Katsuki replies that he'll kill Eijiro. Eijiro laughs him off and responds by sarcastically complimenting Katsuki for having moves that blast the whole stadium. Katsuki tells Eijiro and Denki that Quirks are physical abilities and they all have their limits.

In the last match of the second bracket, Eijiro faces off with Katsuki. Eijiro cuts Katsuki's cheek near the start of the bout and takes an explosion straight to his hip. Eijiro is unphased thanks to his Quirk's defensive ability.

He taunts Katsuki, telling "explosion boy" that his blasts will not work and goes on the offensive by trying to deliver a series of punches. Katsuki evades the strikes and is eventually able to injure Eijiro with another direct hit to his torso. Katsuki figures out that Eijiro's hardening ability weakens with every hit, and that he has been overusing it to keep his entire body hard throughout the fight.

Katsuki capitalizes and unleashes a flurry of explosions until Eijiro is ultimately overwhelmed and knocked unconscious. Eijiro is treated for his injuries and returns to the stands in time for Katsuki's next round fight against Fumikage Tokoyami. Fumikage ultimately surrenders and Eijiro surmises that his Quirk is weak against light, and Katsuki was the perfect person to exploit that.

Along with his class, Eijiro watches the closing ceremony of U.A. Sports Festival. He comments that Katsuki has been in a fury ever since he woke up after being knocked out at the end the finals.

Vs. Hero Killer Arc[]

Eijiro returns to class two days after the Sports Festival. Shota Aizawa teaches them about Hero Informatics and Eijiro fears the topic may be on hero laws. He's excited to learn that the class will choose their hero names for the upcoming internships. Shota reveals the draft results following the festival and Eijiro has received sixty-eight offers from Pro-Heroes.

Midnight joins the class to help them select hero names for their upcoming internships. Eijiro chooses the moniker Sturdy Hero: Red Riot. Midnight questions whether this name is a nod to an old school hero Crimson Riot, which Eijiro confirms. Eijiro replies that although he's old school, Crimson Riot is his idol and he wishes to be just like him. Midnight advises him to live up to the name and Eijiro tells her that he will. When Katsuki comes up with a hero name, "King Explosion Murder," which gets rejected by Midnight, Eijiro jokingly suggests that he use "explosion boy," much to Katsuki's anger.

After Class 1-A is finished formulating their hero names, Eijiro is given his list of offers so he can choose a Hero Agency to intern at. He wishes to fight crime in a big city and elects to choose Fourth Kind Agency. When the first day of the internships arrives, Eijiro receives his costume and boards a train to Fourth Kind's agency.

Eijiro meets Tetsutetsu at the Fourth Kind's Office, surprised to see his newfound friend there. Fourth Kind explains that his office was able to extend two offers because he was impressed with the two young men's spirits during their fight. The Chivalrous Hero teaches them about hero wages from the government.

The next day, Eijiro and Tetsutetsu make lukewarm tea and are then punished by Fourth Kind. He punches both of them with their Quirks active and says it is satisfying to hit their hardened bodies, hiding the fact that he is in pain.

The workplace training comes to an end and Eijiro returns to U.A. In Class 1-A, Eijiro and Hanta laugh at Katsuki's new hairstyle, causing Katsuki to retaliate in anger. Later on, he and the class witness the field training race with Eijiro voicing Hanta will win after Hanta leads in it. However, Eijiro is surprised when Izuku suddenly passes Hanta up, he is amazed at the latter's new moves.

After Hero Agency Internships are finished, Eijiro is in the boys' locker room changing into his school uniform. He states that he needs to focus on his maneuverability.

Final Exams Arc[]

One week before final exams, Shota reminds Class 1-A to study for both their written and practical exams before ending class. Many of the students opt to study with Momo, and Eijiro mentions how he should tag along. Irritated, Katsuki says that he'll beat the material into Eijiro's head himself and Eijiro responds that he'll be counting on it. When Katsuki scolds everyone for their excitement and storms out of class later on, Eijiro mentions that it's been a while since Katsuki has been that intense. Eijiro later studies with Katsuki as they prepare for the tests.

A week passes and Class 1-A finishes the written section of the finals. They change into their hero costumes and join their teachers at the practical exam area. There, Principal Nezu announces the practical portion will involve pairs of students facing off against one teacher. Eijiro and Rikido are paired against Cementoss in the first bout.

Eijiro and Rikido agree to attack Cementoss from the front because he's slow, but their opponent creates multiple cement walls to block them. Eijiro and Rikido use their Quirks to smash through the cement blocks, but Cementoss continues to make more. Before long, the duo's Quirks run out of steam and Cementoss defeats them using a cement attack, and as a result, they fail the practical. Eijiro and Rikido mull over their defeat as the remaining matches are underway.

Following the conclusion of final exams, Class 1-A returns to their homeroom. Eijiro, Rikido, Denki, and Mina are all crestfallen that they are unable to go to training camp because they failed the practical. Izuku tries to cheer up those who failed, but Denki launches a comical tirade at Izuku. Soon after, Shota enters the classroom and informs Class 1-A that all of them are going to the training camp. Eijiro and the others are happily shocked to hear this, but they, along with Hanta, will all receive harsh extra studies for failing.

Class 1-A decides to go to the Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall to buy necessities for the forest lodge. Eijiro asks Katsuki to tag along, but he refuses. At the shopping mall, Eijiro sees that everyone has different needs and suggests splitting up and meeting up later.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes[]

Upon learning that Katsuki had been invited to I-Island for winning the U.A. Sports Festival, Eijiro tagged along with him and went there. The two participated in the Villain Attack attraction, with Eijiro reaching eighth place at thirty three seconds and Katsuki first at fifteen seconds. After completing the attraction, Eijiro notices Izuku and several other classmates observing from the stands, irritating Katsuki. Eijiro and Tenya later restrain Katsuki from starting a fight with Shoto, who also came to I-Island.

Eijiro and Katsuki are invited to attend the reception party at 6:30 PM, and convinces Katsuki to go, revealing the formal clothes he brought just in case. However, they both left their cell phones behind and get lost in the central tower, so they end up wandering around. In the plant factory, Eijiro and Katsuki are confronted by two villains, and Eijiro attempts to explain that they got lost. The villains do not believe them and attack, but the students are rescued by an ice wall created by Shoto. After lifting the other students up, Shoto explains the situation to Eijiro and Katsuki, informing them that I-Island is being held hostage by the villain Wolfram and his crew, and the three engage in combat.

During the fight, Eijiro jumps in front of Katsuki and takes Daigo's attacks, saving his friend and getting stuck in a wall. Katsuki and Shoto check up on Eijiro after defeating Daigo and Nobu, who is able to get out of the wall by deactivating his Quirk. Katsuki thanks Eijiro, but the three are met with a swarm of security bots.

The three make their way up toward the top, and fight off security bots to let Izuku and Melissa Shield float up to the security system. Eijiro and the other students arrive to assist All Might against Wolfram. Motivated by his students' heroic spirits, All Might breaks free from Wolfram's metal restraints and fights him. Eventually, Izuku and All Might work side by side to defeat Wolfram with a Double Detroit Smash, and the students including Eijiro cheered them on.

Eijiro later hangs out with his classmates at a barbeque party after the expo opened.

Forest Training Camp Arc[]

A day prior to summer break, Izuku invites the boys from Class 1-A to the pool for endurance training. Eijiro arrives late with Katsuki in tow. They hold competitive swimming races and Eijiro loses his leg to Katsuki. Just before Shoto, Izuku, and Katsuki compete in the final race, Shota arrives and tells them they're out of time to use the pool and kicks them out.

Summer break begins and Class 1-A rides a bus to a forest reserve belonging to the hero team: The Wild, Wild Pussycats. Pixie-Bob and Mandalay introduce themselves and challenge the students to reach base camp past the forest in three hours. When most of Eijiro's peers refuse, he and his class are forcibly thrown into Beast's Forest by Pixie-Bob's Quirk.

Monsters made from dirt clods attack the students. Class 1-A works together to fight their way through Beast's Forest. They encounter several different dirt monsters. Eijiro and Rikido use their enhanced strength to destroy one of the monsters after Hanta slams it into the ground with his tape.

Class 1-A doesn't make it through the forest for several more hours. Well over their time limit, Class 1-A arrives at the base camp exhausted and battered. Mandalay reveals the time limit was the expectancy for actual heroes, not the students. The Pussycats serve the students dinner. Eijiro and Denki scarf down their food while complimenting how good it is. Eijiro gets a whiff of meat in a clay pot and erratically asks Pixie-Bob about it while his mouth is full. She replies that the boys are so hungry that they're acting strangely. Eijiro and the boys bathe in the hot springs afterward.

Intense Quirk Training begins the next day. Eijiro trains his Quirk by fighting one on one with Mashirao's tail. Afterward, Class 1-A and 1-B are tasked with cooking for themselves. They successfully make curry for everyone. Eijiro says it doesn't taste great, but he's so hungry that it doesn't even matter. Eijiro and the other students who failed their practical's will take extra lessons with Shota until two in the morning. Training starts back up at seven the next day. Eijiro, Mina, Denki, Rikido, and Hanta are all incredibly tired, but Shota forces them to train anyway.

The Pussycats offer the students a test of courage activity following training. Shota, however, forces the extra lessons group to sit out for more teaching, much to their displeasure. The Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains invade that night. Mandalay sends out a telepathic message warning the students of their arrival. Shortly after Shota leaves, Mandalay sends out two more messages giving permission for students to fight back and informing everyone that Katsuki is one of the villain's targets.

Frustrated with his inability to save Katsuki, Eijiro pleads with Vlad King to let him fight. The hero refuses until they're interrupted by a sudden attack from Dabi. Dabi blasts the classroom door open with a fire attack before being quickly subdued by Vlad King. Dabi taunts Vlad King and the students, saying that they've already failed. Shota returns to the class and destroys what turns out to just be a clone of the villain. Eijiro and Tenya plead for Shota to allow them to fight, but he refuses as well.

The villains successfully kidnap Katsuki and the students return home from camp. Two days later, Eijiro visits Izuku in the hospital along with many of his peers. Eijiro tells Izuku that they can still save Katsuki. The day before, Eijiro and Shoto overheard Momo tell All Might about a tracking device she placed on the Nomu.

Tenya deduces that Eijiro wants Momo to create another receiver so that Eijiro and company can track down and rescue Katsuki themselves. He demands that the rescue of Katsuki be left to the pro heroes, but Eijiro is tired of being unable to do anything. This leads to a heated argument between the two. After being calmed down by Denki and Tsuyu, Eijiro admits he's fully aware that the matter should be dealt by professionals. Even so, Eijiro encourages Izuku to go through with the plan because they can still save their friend.

Most of Class 1-A are against the plan. After the doctor requests the class to leave, Eijiro tells Izuku that he and Shoto will be waiting outside the hospital tonight for him and Momo so that they can go and rescue Katsuki.

Hideout Raid Arc[]

Later that night, Eijiro and Shoto wait for Izuku and Momo. They arrive, but before Momo can speak, Tenya appears, angry that they are about to repeat the same mistake he made at Hosu. Shoto tells Tenya that they will not engage the villains in combat, and Eijiro explains that they are planning a covert mission. Momo states that she came along to accompany them all in order to prevent them from engaging in combat. Tenya decides to go with them.

Eijiro along with Izuku, Momo, Tenya and Shoto board a train to travel to a place called Kamino, Yokohama, located in the Kanagawa Prefecture. At the location, the group puts on disguises to prevent the League of Villains from recognizing them. They exit the clothing shop and witness a video clip of U.A.'s public apology for the danger.

Eijiro along with Shoto, Izuku, Momo and Tenya continue towards the place that Momo's tracking device is detecting. After waiting for a while near the place, Momo, Tenya, Shoto, Eijiro, and Izuku prepare to infiltrate the supposed League of Villains' hideout.

Eijiro along with the group go to the back of the hideout and see a window. Shoto and Tenya have Izuku and Eijiro stand on their shoulders to see what is inside using the night-vision goggles Eijiro brought along. Suddenly, Mount Lady destroys the front of the warehouse which shocks Eijiro.

Seeing that the Pro Heroes are at the warehouse, Eijiro and the group assume that All Might is with Katsuki as they are speaking. Eijiro and the group decide to head home. Suddenly, the entire warehouse is completely destroyed by a mysterious man along with the surrounding area being significantly damaged. The man's aura above them utterly terrifies Eijiro, Izuku, Shoto, Tenya and Momo, with them all unable to move from their spot.

As the conflict continues, Eijiro watches the man battle All Might and sees there are no openings to rescue Katsuki, due to All For One's presence and Katsuki being outnumbered by the Vanguard Action Squad. Suddenly, Izuku comes up with an idea and explains the plan to Eijiro and the rest of the group. He tells Eijiro that the plan will depend on him since he is the only one whose help Katsuki won't be ashamed to accept from.

Izuku puts his plan into action; Izuku and Tenya hold onto Eijiro with Izuku using One For All Full Cowl and Tenya using his Recipro Burst to burst through the wall while Eijiro uses his Hardening to protect himself, Izuku and Tenya. After Izuku, Tenya and Eijiro burst through the wall, Shoto creates an ice ramp; Izuku, Tenya and Eijiro jump off Shoto's ice ramp and head into the sky.

All For One sees the trio and attempts to attack them, but All Might intervenes by punching him. Katsuki sees the trio while Eijiro yells at Katsuki to take his hand. Tomura tries to take Katsuki, but Katsuki uses his Explosion to launch himself towards Izuku, Tenya and Eijiro. Katsuki grabs Eijiro's hand and smiles.

Seeing that Izuku, Eijiro and Tenya have succeeded in rescuing Katsuki, Shoto and Momo begin escaping from the battlefield. Shoto and Momo successfully escape. Shoto phones Izuku and finds out that him and his group are at the train station. Eijiro Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugo converse, with Katsuki adamantly stating he was never saved and only escaped with them so that All Might could fight without holding back, while Eijiro is happy that Katsuki is safe.

The group stays with a large group of people, watching the fight between All Might and All For One on a giant screen. Everyone watching the battle begins to worry about All Might's chances of victory. Desperate, citizens cheer for All Might, and Eijiro scream for All Might to win. All Might ends up winning although at a great cost.

Shoto and Momo meet up with Izuku, Eijiro, Tenya, and Katsuki. They take Katsuki to a Police Station for his safety. Afterwards, Eijiro parts ways and goes home. He then goes home after bringing Katsuki to the police.

Provisional Hero License Exam Arc[]

Following the intense villain attacks toward U.A. students, Nezu transformed U.A. into a boarding school in order to protect the students. The Height Alliance was built in just three days. It is meant to protect the students and allows the teachers to keep close surveillance on the students.

Shota Aizawa meets with his students outside of the building. He states they must start preparing to get provisional hero licenses like they had planned to during the training camp. Then Shota expresses his disappointment that some of them tried to act like they had their licenses; Shota calls out Eijiro, Izuku, Shoto, Momo and Tenya. Shota tells them that he knows that they were present at the site of Katsuki Bakugo's rescue and took it upon themselves to rescue him.

He also knows that the rest of Class 1-A, except Katsuki, Toru Hagakure, and Kyoka Jiro, also knew about their plan to rescue Katsuki. Shota explains that their actions have been covered up but tells them that if All Might did not retire, with the exception of Katsuki, Toru, and Kyoka, he would have expelled them all as punishment. Shota advises the group that went to save Katsuki to go through the proper procedures next time which will also restore the trust between them.

The atmosphere of Class 1-A has become gloomy. Katsuki sees the gloomy atmosphere and grabs Denki and forces him to use his Electrification to get him into his dumb state to distract the class. He then pays Eijiro back for using his allowance on night vision goggles. Eijiro promises to make it up to the class by buying them dinner later that night.

Class 1-A arrange their luggage in their respective bedrooms. Later that night, the boys of Class 1-A are in the common space on the first floor. The girls of Class 1-A show up and Mina Ashido suggests a room showcasing competition. When they check out Eijiro's room they see that it is full of manly elements. None of the girls, except Ochaco, appreciates Eijiro's room.

After the competition, at Ochaco's urgings, Eijiro along with Izuku, Shoto, Tenya, and Momo all meet outside the dorm where they find her with Tsuyu. Tsuyu apologizes for harshly doubting their plan to save Katsuki, and they apologize for worrying her and they mend their friendship.

Eijiro and the rest of Class 1-A are charged with coming up with new special moves and are given a special class to develop their Quirks and come up with them. During the class All Might shows up and advises Eijiro to focus being less artful and more on utilizing brute force with the technique he should develop. Eijiro also updates his hero costume and adds sleeves to it to protect civilians he is rescuing from being hurt by his Quirk.

The day of the licensing exam arrives and Class 1-A travels to the National Dagobah Arena. The first phase begins and Izuku suggests that Class 1-A stick together, but Katsuki refuses and goes off on his own. Eijiro and Denki follow Katsuki to a street side area of the arena. Katsuki yells at them both to stop talking and Eijiro replies telling Katsuki to relax. A mound of flesh is thrown at Katsuki and Eijiro throws himself in the way to save his friend. The flesh attack transforms Eijiro into a meatball that lands in Seiji Shishikura's hand.

Later, Katsuki would also be transformed into a meatball, but both are saved by Denki, who manages to injure Seiji and he loses his hold on the meatballs. Katsuki and Eijiro return to normal and both deliver the finishing blow. Katsuki, Denki, and Eijiro manage to eliminate two people each and pass the first exam.

The second phase of the exam begins and Katsuki rushes off on his own again. Once again Eijiro and Denki follow him through the arena. Katsuki refuses to help other people that Denki and Eijiro decide to rescue, being very rude to them. The exam ends after Denki and Eijiro save the last two people from H.U.C. Everyone meets to look over a presentation board revealing who passed the exam. Eijiro notices that he has managed to pass the exam and get his license, but he is surprised to see that Katsuki does not. Katsuki is livid to find out that he failed the exam.

Shie Hassaikai Arc[]

The next day, Class 1-A learn about Izuku and Katsuki's fight. As Izuku and Katsuki clean the dormitory, being punished to clean the bedroom for several days. The rest of the class leaves to attend a speech. While on their way, they meet class 1-B and Neito criticizes Class 1-A for having two of their classmates fail. Eijiro Kirishima wonders if any of Class 1-B failed, to which Neito reveals that none of them failed. Shoto Todoroki apologizes for letting Class 1-A down, but Eijiro tells Shoto not to let it bother him.

After the speech, Shota tells to Class 1-A the Hero Work-Studies, hero activities are done off-campus, saying that it is a more formalized version of the Field Training they did with pro heroes before. Three days later, Shota Aizawa introduces Class 1-A to the people who will teach them about Hero Work-Studies; the third-year students who rank among the top of all U.A. students known as The Big 3: Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado.

The personalities of the three students leave Class 1-A confused, who get even more confused when Mirio Togata challenges them all to a fight. At Gym Gamma, Eijiro Kirishima notes that they have the advantage and Eijiro asks Mirio if he sees them as nothing but small fry, to which Mirio replies he does. Mirio tells Class 1-A to attack him whenever, wherever they want and asks who wants to go first. Izuku and Eijiro decide to go first. Surprised at Izuku's determination, Eijiro lets Izuku go first.

Izuku attacks and kicks at Mirio's head, but his foot phases clean through Mirio's head and the former confirms Mirio's Quirk allows him to pass through things. Using his Permeation Quirk, Mirio easily defeats more than half of the entire class 1-A. The other half tries to counterattack, Deku having discerned the functioning of his Quirk, but still, Mirio also defeats them with hardly any problem. As Class 1-A recovers, Mirio states that the reason he wanted to fight Class 1-A is to show the experience he gained from the Work-Studies; Mirio was able to transform his Quirk and reach the top. Class 1-A starts seeing that Hero Work-Studies are different from the Field Training they went through.

Following Mirio's advice, he phones Fourth Kind to ask for a Work-Studies, but he replies doesn't even take anyone for Work-Studies. At Heights Alliance Eijiro congratulates Izuku for being accepted into the Nighteye Agency, but rumbles for not being able to do the same. Shota arrives to inform him, Ochaco, Tsuyu and Fumikage that there are people interested in them. In the case of Eijiro, he is notified that Tamaki wants to talk with him, and Shota recommends Eijiro to talk to him tomorrow. Eijiro wonders why they want to talk about, and unable to wait until tomorrow, he goes to the third years' room to ask him.

It turns out that Tamaki wanted to invite him to participate in the Work-Studies along with him in Fat Gum Agency in Osaka, which Eijiro accepted without hesitation. Once there, the BMI Hero Fat Gum is surprised that Tamaki has brought someone, and remember that Eijiro was one of the best participants at the Sports Festival. He says that spunky kid like him are welcome in his agency.

Eijiro says that Fourth Kind had hired him for the same reasons, because energetic boys are good foe raising morale at the agencies, but Eijiro confesses that he doesn't want to be just that, he wants to be a hero at the front lines and save peoples lives like Crimson Riot, never wanting to be again a pathetic guy who abandons people in danger. After the presentations, Eijiro officially begins his Work-Studies.

Eijiro, Tamaki and Fat Gum are patrolling the streets in the Esuha Market. Suddenly, a fight breaks out. A thug is attacking another group of thugs for doing business on his turf. The group of thugs manages to get away, only for them to land into Fat Gum, and start submerging into his body. However, one of them manages to escape but is caught by Tamaki's Quirk. Tamaki wonders if he did a good job, to which Eijiro replies that he was awesome.

However, another hidden criminal watching from the crowd shoots Tamaki with a mysterious bullet. He fires off a second shot but Red Riot deflects it off his own head using his hardened skin. Fired up, Red Riot hardens his whole body and leaps into action.

Tamaki tries to use his Quirk again but for some reason, he can not activate it, and Fat Gum is surprised to learn the villains have a Quirk eraser. Meanwhile, Eijiro chases the villain to a dead end. The villain uses his Quirk to create blades on his body but Eijiro knocks the man down. In this situation, the villain injects himself with a Quirk booster, that allows him to generate unleashes a flurry of blades that consume the entire alleyway.

Red Riot tells all the bystanders to retreat. Even with his Hardening quirk, the blades break through his skin, sending Eijiro flying back. The villain arrogantly claims he'll be able to save his friends and sends multiple swords at Eijiro. Red Riot knows he has to protect everyone who hasn't gotten away yet. Remembering an advice Katsuki gave him, Eijiro hardens his body even further, revealing his new Ultimate Move: Unbreakable.

Thank to this, Eijiro breaks through his attacker's assault, breaking the many swords apart, and defeats him. The defeated man tries to escape but Fat Gum intercepts him and traps the villain inside his stomach. Fat Gum reminds Red Riot to always subdue a villain as quickly as possible and to never fall for their schemes.

Eijiro thanks Fat Gum for saving the day. The civilians thank Red Riot for saving them and they recognize he put himself in the way of the attacks to protect them. Fat Gum commends Red Riot for an epic debut and the bystanders say he will become a great hero one day. Fat Gum tells his sidekicks that Trigger is banned in Japan. Eijiro compliments Fat Gum for knowing his stuff and Suneater hides his face in his hood, embarrassed he couldn't be useful but Eijiro tries to encourage him. Fat Gum is worried about the existence of drugs that disable people's Quirks.

The next day at U.A in Class 1-A, Denki comments that Eijiro's Hero name, Red Riot, is on the Internet and his Hero debut in defeating the thug and saving civilians is also on the Internet.

A few days later, Eijiro along Izuku, Ochaco, Tsuyu and the Big 3, are heading out at Sir Nighteye's Office and see that many Heroes are gathered; Fat Gum; Eijiro and Tamaki's Internship mentor and Ryukyu; Ochaco, Tsuyu, and Nejire's Internship mentor. Surprisingly, Shota and Gran Torino have also gathered. Thanks to the information all the Heroes provided him with, Sir Nighteye was able to make substantial progress with his investigation, of an organization named Shie Hassaikai; this captures Eijiro, Izuku, Ochaco and Tsuyu's attention.

After Sir Nighteye and his sidekicks explain the situation regarding the organization and its relationship with drug trafficking, Fat Gum intervenes. He explains that he, Eijiro and Tamaki were involved the other day in a battle against a thug in which Tamaki was shot with a bullet that contains a drug that can damage the Quirk Factor, which allows a person to use his powers. Fat Gum follows up by explaining that thanks to Eijiro's brave actions by protecting Tamaki, they were able to obtain a bullet with the contents still inside. Fat Gum explains that after examining the contents of the bullet, they discovered that inside the bullet were human blood and cells, which disturbs everyone.

Sir Nighteye states that Kai's Quirk and the Quirk-destroying bullet are related. He explains that Chisaki has a daughter that had no birth certificate and details about her are unknown. She says that Izuku and Mirio encountered her on their patrol and she had a number of bandages on her. Gran Torino comments that since they live in a superhuman society, anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it. Eijiro asks what Gran Torino means. Sir Nighteye explains that Chisaki is probably using his daughter to make those Quirk destroying bullets, which disgusts Eijiro, Ochaco, and Tsuyu. Izuku and Mirio stand up and declare that this time they will definitely rescue Eri. Sir Nighteye states that their objective will be to save Chisaki's daughter.

With the meeting over, Izuku and Mirio explain to their classmates what occurred between them and Overhaul. Izuku and Mirio are still crestfallen for being unable to save Eri when she was right in their hands. Shota spots his Class 1-A students and talks to them about originally suspending their Work-Studies since the League of Villains are involved. Before they start protesting, Shota gives them permission to take part in Eri's rescue operation and signifies his decision by fist-bumping Izuku's chest.

While Eri's location was being pinpointed, Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, and Eijiro Kirishima remain on standby while continuing their training. However, they are forbidden from disclosing any information regarding the operation. Izuku, Ochaco, Eijiro, Tsuyu and the Big 3 wait impatiently for any call that informs them that they have finally found her. Two days later, late at night, all of them receive messages form Sir Nighteye informing them that they finally know where Eri is and calls everyone to another conference to prepare for the impending rescue operation.

The next morning at 8:00 AM, in front of the Police Station, Heroes partaking in the rescue operation have been given detailed information about the Shie Hassaikai's secret complex underground facility as well as all the information available of Quirks registered of Hassaikai members. Eijiro Kirishima is eager to start the operation and displays his eagerness towards Izuku. At 8:30 AM, the Heroes and Police Force are outside the Shie Hassaikai's Headquarters and commence the operation.

Sir Nighteye and Fat Gum's groups have charged into the Shie Hassaikai's Headquarters, and heads down toward the basement but are surprised to see a wall that impedes their path through the underground maze. Mirio uses his Quirk to slip through the wall and confirms it was a hastily created blockade made by Overhaul's Quirk. Izuku and Eijiro use their Quirks to break down the wall. As they go through the operation, several comrades are left behind to face the threats, like Ryukyu's Team against Rikiya Katsukame or Tamaki against three of the Eight Bullets.

In the underground labyrinth, Shota is attacked by a piece of manipulated wall, courtesy of Mimic, but Fat Gum shoves Shota out of the way and is thrown into another room. As Fat Gum gets up, he is surprised to see that Eijiro is with him. Eijiro tells Fat Gum that he was also trying to protect Shota as well but once he did, he was swallowed by Fat Gum's Quirk.

Suddenly, two of the Eight Bullets, Kendo Rappa and Hekiji Tengai, appear. Eijiro activates his Unbreakable. Kendo launches rapid bullet-like punches at great speed, striking Fat Gum and Eijiro. Fat Gum was able to mitigate the damages thanks to his Quirk, but Eijiro, although his super move also mitigates the impacts, sees that his arms are bleeding and becomes shocked that Rappa's punches managed to break through Unbreakable's defenses. Fat Gum counters with a punch of his own, but is surprised that his punch strikes a barrier instead.

The fight continues, and Kendo launches an assault on Fat Gum with his multiple fast punches, while Eijiro watches in disgrace as he is unable to do anything. Disheartened, Eijiro believes there's nothing he can do to help. Hekiji sees Eijiro's fear and notes that the look in his eyes confirms he has accepted defeat. However, after recalls the words of Crimson Riot in the hologram many years ago, Eijiro appears in front of Kendo, which surprises Hekiji. Eijiro is struck by Kendo's fierce punches and manages to withstand it, which takes Kendo by surprise.

As he falls to the ground, a bloody and beaten Eijiro states that his intervention was not meaningless as it has given Fat Gum the time needed to release his accumulated strength. Fat Gum, who is now shrunken and skinny yet muscular, reprimands Hekiji for calling Eijiro's intervention meaningless. Thanks to Eijiro's few seconds of bravery, Fat Gum has absorbed Kendo's accumulated blows which have in return given him great strength, and delivers a powerful punch that smashes both villains.

Surprisingly, Kendo managed to survive Fat Gum's powerful punch and is standing; but in a twist of events, Kendo tells Fat Gum that there are first aid supplies in a nearby room and tells him to treat Eijiro's wounds while referring him to as a man. Kendo has taken a personal interest in Eijiro and Fat Gum which is why he is helping them out. Kendo tells them to use the first aid supplies so that next time he can battle them again with their lives on the line.

Neither Eijiro nor Fat Gum can continue participating in the rescue operation due to their injuries, which ends in success thanks to Izuku, who defeats Overhaul and rescues Eri. Later on, Eijiro is seen being carried to the hospital after the mission was completed.

Remedial Course Arc[]

After recovering, Eijiro, Izuku, Ochaco, and Tsuyu return to Heights Alliance. When they finally arrive, the entirety of Class 1-A greet them, glad that they are alright, checking to make sure they are doing okay, physically and mentally, after their mission.

Hanta slings his arm around Eijiro's neck while berating him about worrying them. Eijiro apologizes for that but they couldn't say anything because they were under a gag order. Then Mina Ashido asks Eijiro about his state of mind, causing Eijiro to reply that he still has a long way to go; Mina accepts Eijiro's thoughts.

With the beginning of October, Izuku, Ochaco, Eijiro and Tsuyu were given permission to go to Sir Nighteye's funeral, along with the Big 3, All Might and Shota. Due to what happened, it was decided that the Hero Work-Studies program was to be postponed for the time being, so Eijiro says goodbye to Fat Gum until next time.

U.A. School Festival Arc[]

Days later, Shota informs Class 1-A that U.A. is having a School Festival. Eijiro asks him if it's really okay to be so carefree at those times with the proliferation of villains. Shota tells him it's a good point, but explains that the festival is sponsored by the other departments such as the General Department. However, Shota points out that part of the festival will be within U.A. and tells Class 1-A to pick out a program to perform at the festival.

Since Class 1-A also participates, students decide what to do for the festival. Eijiro suggests an arm-wrestling tournament, but since his classmates also suggest other things, they fail to reach an agreement. Because he has extra classes with the other interns, Eijiro can't participate in the deliberations, although they say they will agree with what their classmates decide. After discussing it, the entire Class 1-A decides that their school festival program will be a live performance and dance with party space.

The next day, class 1-A continues to discuss how their performance will be and what roles each will occupy. Since he has extra classes along with Izuku, Ochaco and Tsuyu, Eijiro arrives later in the bedroom, after completing all his classes, joining the discussion. Looking for a singer for their band, Eijiro tries out for the position, but it turns out that he can't get the right genre. In the end it is decided that Kyoka will be the singer. And so on, at 1 A.M., everything set: Class A-1 students are divided into three groups, Band team, Dance team and Staging team, Eijiro is part of the latter.

During the following weeks, the various teams practice their respective functions. When Mina tells Izuku what she means is he is being switched over to the Staging Team from the Dancing Team, to help maneuver Yuga during his part of the presentation. Eijiro joins in begging Izuku since there is a part in the play that he needs to care of as they say Izuku was selected since he and Yuga have been getting along. After Izuku accepts the change in position, Eijiro thanks him for agreeing.

On the appointed day, the performance of class 1-A ends up being a huge success. After the performance, Eijiro devotes himself to enjoying other festival events with his classmates, even competing against Katsuki on an Obstacle Course.

Pro Hero Arc[]

As November comes to a close, at U.A. in the lounge, Shota reveals that Eri will be looked after by U.A. As Eijiro welcome Eri, Shota states that the decision for U.A. to look after her is because she does not have anyone who can take care of her and he is the only one who can prevent her Quirk from going out of control again. Mirio will also be helping Eri and welcomes Class 1-A to visit her once in a while since they will all be busy.

Then, Shota tells Izuku, Eijiro, Ochaco and Tsuyu to return to their dormitories as they will have visitors, resulting to be the Pussycats, who came to celebrate Ragdoll's reinstatement. Eijiro assumes that the Pussycats have returned so that they can rank higher in the JP Hero Billboard Chart, to which Ragdoll refutes and replies that they have returned due to their high approval ratings meaning that there are many fans who want to see them back in action. Eijiro cry some tears of joy for this.

At the U.A. dorms, Eijiro and his classmates watched a television report of a Nomu attack in the city and was horrified as it showed Endeavor being overwhelmed by the Nomu's attack. A worried Eijiro looked to Shoto who walked in to watch the scene of his injured father.

After Endeavor defeats High End stands up victorious, Shoto collapses to his knees, relieved his father is still alive. Eijiro is one of the classmates who approaches him to console him.

Joint Training Arc[]

Eijiro participates in the first round of the Joint Training Battle. His teammates are Denki Kaminari, Hitoshi Shinso from Class 1-C, and Tsuyu Asui, who leads Class 1-A team. Their rivals of Class 1-B team are Ibara Shiozaki, Kosei Tsuburaba, Hiryu Rin, and Jurota Shishida.

Before the match stars, they spend to much time learning about Hitoshi's Brainwashing Quirk. When the match begins, they didn't get to form a proper plan. They decide that regardless, they'll have to fight to win. Thanks to his Quirk, Koji tell Eijiro that Ibara is alone, spreading her vines out. Class 1-A takes the bait and heads toward her position but they walk right into a trap. Jurota, with Kosei on his back, suddenly rushes in with his Quirk activated and smashes both Eijiro and Tsuyu through nearby pipes with Roaring Rage. After a short scuffle, Hitoshi manage to stop Jurota with his Quirk.

During the following skirmish, Tsuyu Asui managed to capture Kosei with her tongue, and takes him back to the jail to eliminate him from the match, being persecuted by Jurota. Eijiro and Koji trying to block his path, but Jurota quickly transforms back to a human to squeeze between them, and then back to his beast form. Jurota tosses Eijiro into the air, allowing Ibara to capture him with her Vines and lock him in prison, along with Koji who had also been captured.

Despite the capture of Eijiro and Koji, the Class 1-A team manages to achieve the victory. Shota asks the victorious Class 1-A team to reflect on the match and what they have learned. Eijiro says that his Quirk is difficult to utilize in a situation where a fight is trying to be avoided, and knows he needs to be able to apply his skills outside of combat. Shota tells Eijiro to learn how to set up situations for close combat.

After this, Eijiro spends the rest of the exercise watching and commenting on the matches, being especially interested in Round Three, and the progress of Tetsutetsu with his Quirk Steel. The Joint Training Battle ends with a Class 1-A victory. Despite this, there are no hard feelings and that everyone is still friends with one another, and both classes hanging out together with no problem. Even though, Tetsutetsu scolds Eijiro for letting his defeat in the round 1 affect him and telling him to stop comparing himself with him. Tetsutetsu encourages a defeated Eijiro by telling him about the differences between Hardening and Steel and saying they both have different strengths.

My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising[]

During fall, the Hero Public Safety Commission devises the Hero Work Recommendation Project, to help to train the new generation of Heroes due All Might retirement. Weeks go by, and shortly after winter begins, after the Hero Interview Training, Class 1-A is sent to Nabu Island, a remote place in southern Japan. The Pro Heroes who protected the island are about to retire, so the students will take care of the place, performing duties as real heroes acting like their own "Hero Office", until the arrival of new Pro Heroes.

Because Nabu Island is quite isolated from the rest of the country, and therefore far from any villain activity, there has been no notable incident since the last thirty years. For this reason, their work on the island basically involve mostly minor deeds. Eijiro is in the office when Ochaco calls across the room and asks if anyone can help her to find a lost kid. Eijiro offers to go, but Katsuki says to him that his Quirk is not effective to search for lost people, something that Eijiro cannot deny. Kyoka and Izuku volunteer to help Ochaco in her request. Later, Eijiro is helping move cargo on a truck with the owner of the truck, his wife and baby thanking him. He does his hardening pose and gestures "No problem!" but the hardening disrupt the sleeping baby, being about to cry. Eijiro tries to calm him the best he can.

At night, after working all day, all Class 1-A students mention that despite they only did minor deeds, this kind of hero work is still hard, even though they're not fighting anyone. When Minoru accuses Katsuki of having done nothing all day, he replies this kind of work is boring and prefers to be in the office in case a villain attacks. Eijiro looks at Katsuki as he says there's no villains here. Then, the grateful island citizens bring a bunch of food for the kids as a token of appreciation for their help. After dinner, Denki, Hanta, and several other students come and tell Eijiro to join them at the onsen bath and assign Katsuki to be on night patrol. He complains, but Eijiro reminds him that he didn't do any hero work all day long. Katsuki can't argue that and goes out to patrol the grounds.

The next day, while Eijiro and several class 1-A students wait in the office waiting for a request, a neighbor and Fumikage arrive to report that the island is being attacked by a group of villains. Tenya quickly organize the class to face this crisis. He splits the Class into groups in order to deal with the separate threats: Katsuki, Eijiro, and Denki will go to the shopping district and intercept the villain with Momo, Kyoka, and Mina assist with medical evacuation.

Once they arrive, they save Yuga, Minoru and Toru from the villain Mummy. While Eijiro, Katsuki and Denki face Mummy's puppets, Mina, Kyoka and Momo bring the others to safety as well as direct the citizens to the safe hold. During the battle, the villain is able to wrap Katsuki up and turned him into a mummified puppet and uses him to attack Eijiro and Denki. He proves too much for Denki and Eijiro but Katsuki is able to free himself and defeats the villain.

Eijiro and Denki congratulate Katsuki on his victory. Momo and Kyoka arrive to inform them that they have already evacuated all the citizens of the area. Katsuki tells the others to continue the evacuations as he heads off to find more villains. However, Katsuki is defeated along with Izuku by the leader of the gang, Nine, who must withdraw due to his illness.

At night, the students retreat to a factory to heal their wounds and provide first aid to the inhabitants of the island. Eijiro helps distribute food among the refugees along with several of his classmates. Later, Class 1-A have a meeting where they discover that the objective of the villain leader, Nine, is to steal the Cell Activation Quirk from a boy named Katsuma. With this information, they devise a plan to approach them in front and keep civilians safe. The plan is to lure the villains to the furthest corner of the island where ancient castle ruins are.

The next morning, Nine and his crew arrive at the entrance to the island. When the students see the villains approaching, they put their plan into action. Yuga Aoyama and Momo Yaoyorozu start attacking them from afar with their respective Quirks at full power. While Nine blocks the attack with his Air Wall Quirk, his allies break away from the blast. Chimera runs dodging the cannon shots, but a shot explodes near him and launches him off a cliff, though he lands unscathed near a waterfall. Here, Tenya, Shoto, Eijiro, and Tsuyu ambush him

Along with Tenya, Eijiro attacks him with a series of kicks and punches but Chimera blocks all his attacks easily until he feels his body feels paralyzed. The students reveal that Tsuyu has covered their arms and legs with a special toxic mucus that she had secreted with his Frog Quirk, effectively stopping his body from moving. Chimera uses his quirk to transform himself, becoming bigger and more powerful which nullifies the toxin, and starts attacking the four students.

Pinned by Chimera, Shoto devises a plan: they need their companions to distract the villain and help him get closer to him so that he can use his Ice powers at full potential to freeze Chimera. All of them agree to put the plan into action. While Tenya distracts Chimera, Shoto holds Eijiro by the waist as he speeds them forward towards Chimera while sliding on his ice. Chimera notices them and blasts at them with his burning beam, but Eijiro activates his Ultimate Move: Unbreakable, to take the full-frontal hit from the blast and manages to stand his ground long enough until Chimera finally exhausts his flaming breath. Eijiro loses consciousness, giving Shoto the opportunity to strike. With the help of Tenya and Tsuyu, Shoto manages to freeze the villain, before everyone passing out.

While they are unconscious after the battle, Izuku and Katsuki manage to defeat Nine, saving the island and its inhabitants in the process. After Class 1-A emerged victorious over the threat, the military and a large number of heroes arrive on Nabu Island, rescuing the civilians and medically treating Class 1-A.

The villains are arrested, and Class 1-A continues to stay on Nabu Island to help repair the damage done by Nine and his villains until the Public Safety Commission suspends the program and orders them to be sent home. With the island being repaired by the military and the heroes, Class 1-A boards a ferry to return to the U.A. High School.

Endeavor Agency Arc[]

Mt. Lady is invited to the U.A. to give class 1-A "Hero Interview Training" lessons. One by one, the students participate in a simulated interview, and when it's Eijiro's turn, he shows his Quirk, ensuring that he will use it to protect all those behind him. Mt. Lady congratulates him. When it's Izuku's turn be interviewed, he gets so nervous that his body turns al stiff and edgy. Eijiro mistakes this for the former being able to use Hardening just like him.

Days later, the Hero Work Recommendation Project takes place, and Class 1-A students stay on Nabu Island before returning.

On the night of Christmas Eve, at Heights Alliance, He celebrates Christmas with his classmates. With Work-Studies about to start, Eijiro believes Izuku will return to the Nighteye agency now that Centipeder has taken over the agency, but Izuku clarifies that he already talked with him, but he told him that it won't be possible because they have too much paperwork.

Eijiro asks Katsuki if he is heading back to Best Jeanist, to which he replies that he still does not know. Eijiro reminds him that he still has many Hero Agencies to choose from to do his Work-Studies, but Katsuki refuses to go to any of them.

A few minutes later, Shota brings Eri to the Heights Alliance to enjoy Christmas with Class 1-A. Eijiro asks his teacher if Togata will also come too but he replies that he is celebrating Christmas with his classmates. Everyone celebrates Christmas and have fun, holding a surprise gift exchange.

The Work-Studies start again, and Eijiro returns with Tamaki to the Fat Gum agency, and now Tetsutetsu joins them.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission[]

During the Work Studies, a Trigger Bomb explodes in a major city, causing great devastation and thousands of casualties. The anti-quirk cult known as Humarise claim responsibility for the terrorist attack, and in response, the World Heroes Association organizes a large operation on a world scale to bring down the organization. As member of Fat Gum agency, Eijiro joins the operation, being part of the Japan Task Force, which also includes Gang Orca Agency, Cementoss, Present Mic, and many other heroes.

They have the mission of storming the branch that Humarise has in Tokyo, arrest its members and get hold of any Trigger Bombs that might be there. Despite their successful raid, the heroes have failed to locate the Trigger bombs and the most prominent members of Humarise. Around the world, the other hero teams also succeed in their respective raids, but with the same results. The WHA director orders all the hero teams to stand by in their respective countries.

Days later, while he is at the Japan Team Standby hotel, Kyoka informs him and the remaining team members that Izuku has been found guilty of the murder of twelve civilians in Otheon. Eijiro expresses his utter dismay and anger at these accusations towards his classamtes, considering them ridiculous.

The situation gets worse days later when Flect Turn, leader of Humarise, broadcastes to the entire world that they intends to denote several Trigger Bombs in the twenty-five cities where the branches of his cult used to be, and that there are only two hours before they explode. As expected, panic breaks out in the target cities, being one of them Tokyo, triggering numerous accidents among the terrified population. The Japan Task Force scrambled to quell the hysteria and locate the bombs.

The members of the Fat Gum agency are among the first to arrive, and Fat Gum quickly coordinates his trainees to help: while Tamaki extricates the injured, Eijiro and Tetsutetsu secure and evacuation route, using their respective Quirks to move crashed vehicles out of the way. Gang Orca and his team locate the bombs. Gang Orca and his team locate the Tigger Bombs, but they are guarded by members of Humarise, sparking a battle in the city streets for their possession. Eijiro himself manages to defeat several villains during the ensuing fights.

Fortunately, none of the Trigger Bombs go off thanks to Izuku, Katsuki, Shoto, and Rody were able to storm Humarise's main headquarters, defeat it's leaders, and defuse the bombs all over the world. With the main threat solved, the heroes defeat and imprison the last members of Humarise, dismantling the organization. Once the worldwide crisis is over, Eijiro is able to return to U.A., meeting up with his classmates and rejoice that everyone is okay.

Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]

Winter break ends and students return from their Work-Studies to show their progress with their Quirks and skills. In the boy's changing room, Eijiro praises Izuku for controlling his other Quirk, to which Izuku tells him he can only handle it for a moment and that it doesn't have many uses, but he considers it strong. Annoyed, Katsuki smacks his mask into Izuku's head, surprising and irritating Eijiro and the other classmates, who complain about his attitude.

At Ground Alpha, under the supervision of All Might, the students battle Villain Bots to show off the new skills and Ultimate Moves they have developed. Mina is one of the first to show her progress, showing her new Ultimate Move Acidman. When her demonstration ends, she bounces over to Eijiro, revealing that she was inspired by his Unbreakable to create her Acidman. Eijiro is pretty flattered that he and his move were her inspiration. Afterwards, it's Eijiro's turn to show his progress under the tutelage of Fat Gum. Later at night, he helps his classmates to organize a Work Study/Brainstorm/Hot pot party to energize everyone for the new term.

The months go by until it's late March. The Hero Public Safety Commission had uncovered the plans of Tomura Shigaraki and his organization, the Paranormal Liberation Front. They organize a large force of heroes to take the villain organization down. While a team of heroes raid the Jaku General Hospital, where the Nomu are created, another team does the same at Gunga Mountain Villa, the Front's main headquarters.

Eijiro is a member of the Villa Backup Team along with some of his classmates and Class 1-B students. Their mission is to provide support to the heroes who raid the Gunga Mountain Villa and prevent villains from escaping.

After Tomura Shigaraki woke up and commanded Gigantomachia to go to him, the Heroes try and fail to stop the walking calamity. Kyoka is surprised and detects the giant, and warns her teammates. Likewise, Midnight contacts Momo saying that they must put Gigantomachia to sleep with an anesthetic, before losing contact.

Following Midnight's instructions, the U.A. Students prepare a trap for Gigantomachia by softening the ground with Juzo's Quirk and strategically position several ropes covered in Minoru's orbs. Momo creates several 30-liter vials filled with sedative, and tells everyone they will have to be administered orally because of Gigantomachia's tough-looking body. Each student receives the same amount of sedative, so if one person chucks it into his mouth, he should fall asleep. As they set up a trap, they are informed that the members of the League of Villains are riding on Gigantomachia's back.

Gigantomachia falls into the softened ground and and the ropes stick to his jaw, which are pulled by several students to open his mouth while multiple students charge to throw the sedative into his mouth, but Gigantomachia blows them all away with one breath. Dabi also burns the area, making it harder for students to get through to them. However, Mina manages to get through the flames using Acidman, and prepares to deliver the sedative.

She manages to get through the flames and tries to throw the sedative, but upon recognizing Gigantomachia as the monster she faced in middle school, she stiffens up, and loses her grip on her canister. She is abut to be crushed by Gigantomachia's hand, but Eijiro runs through the flames, and pushes her out of the way, apparently being him the one who ends up smashed. Tetsutetsu arrives to help Mina, who is worried about Eijiro, but Tetsutetsu reassures her about it, trusting in his friend's abilities.

Eijiro not only avoided being crushed but also, in his Unbreakable form, he climbs his way up the giant's arm, forcing handholds with his hardened fingers. He announces his name and how he won't let there be blood. Before he can chuck his canister, it is destroyed by a knife thrown by Himiko Toga. However, Eijiro managed to grab Mina's canister, and successfully chucks it into the giant's mouth. Seeing him, Gigantomachia is about to smash him with a slap, but the students start firing at him with cannons created by Momo, while Lizardy flies in and grabs Eijiro out.

Several heroes led by Majestic arrive to take charge of Gigantomachia now that he has ingested the sedative, because the more he moves the faster it will spread. Gigantomachia, however, takes on an armored appearance and easily defeats heroes, and continue on his way to Tomura. Before being defeated, Majestic uses his Quirk to bring the U.A. students to safety, who can only watch helplessly as the giant devastates everything in his path.

Later, they tell Mirio about the sedative when he was going to the same place that Gigantomachia was headed towards. As the battle against Tomura continues, and the sedative finally takes effect, the U.A. students work to rescue, aid and assist the wounded heroes. To his tragedy and that of his classmates, when they go to aid Midnight, they discover that she was killed. Eijiro can't help crying over the death of his teacher.

When the Paranormal Liberation War ends, the wounded are taken to the hospital to be healed. Two days later, Eijiro, along with Momo, Mina and Mezo gather around Shoto, who's recovering. They inform him about what happened in the war and the last days, and try to cheer him up as best they can. Then, Shoto's older siblings, Natsuo and Fuyumi, enter the room, and Eijiro and the others formally greet them, informing them that Shoto can barely speak due his damaged throat.

Back in Heights Alliance, Eijiro and his classmates find out that they all received personalized letters from Izuku, in which he explains One For All and that the villains are after him. They are shocked and confused at Izuku's decision to suddenly leave U.A. High.

Dark Hero Arc[]

A few days after Izuku left U.A., Eijiro is later seen at a meeting with Class 1-A. He and Class 1-A deduce that Izuku is now working with Endeavor and his team. Eijiro wonders how will they get to contact the heroes who possibly know the whereabouts of Izuku, and Ochaco suggests to push their issue forward. A few days later, impatient with their response, Class 1-A use Endeavor's U.A. Alumni status to confront him despite knowing how much he does not like to be tricked.

Once Principal Nezu gives Class 1-A permission to bring back Izuku to U.A, Eijiro joins with his class to search for Izuku while at the same time, apprehending any prison escapees along the way. After a month of trailing in Izuku's whereabouts, Class 1-A finally arrived on the scene to defeat Dictator. When Izuku refuses to yield, he demands everyone to get out of his way, which means they might have to fight him to surrender.

Eijiro stays on the sidelines to secure Dictator along with Yuga and Toru until Endeavor arrives to arrest him. He tells him that even though he can't do much right now with how fast paced the current battle is, he has a lot to say to Izuku, before heading off on Endeavor's orders to make sure if there are any other anti-hero civilians in the area.

After saving Izuku and Tenya from the fall, Eijiro shouts to Izuku about remembering a story from a while back about a kid who rushed in to save his friend, realizing it was him, and that what he did back then is what they're doing now. He then listens to Katsuki apologizing to Izuku before he collapses from shock and exhaustion, as the class escorts him back safely to a heavily fortified U.A High where they are confronted by angry protesting civilians.

The civilians are distressed because they are aware that Tomura is targeting Izuku and him being there at U.A. will put them in danger too. Everyone tries to reassure them but to no avail, until Ochaco floats her way up to the top of the building, shouting down to everyone and giving an impassioned speech to let Izuku stay. With all this, the civilians agree to let Izuku stay, and the class proceed to escort him inside.

The boys immediately rush Izuku to the bath, stripping and washing him down before getting in themselves. Afterwards, Class 1-A is visited by All Might, where he and Izuku apologize and make up before he heads back out. With Izuku finally passing out and getting some rest, Class 1-A comes back together, as they declare they won't just bring the world back to how it was, but to make it a better place than before, and do it all together.

U.A. Traitor Arc[]

Two days later, Class 1-A learn that during this time, Tomura had fought American No. 1 Hero, Star and Stripe, and while she was killed during the battle with Tomura successfully stealing her Quirk, New Order, thanks to her actions, the Quirk acted like a virus within his body, destroying several of his Quirks and delaying his procedure by about a week. All Might informs all this to the class, telling them that this is now their perfect time to prepare for the inevitable all-out war. The class reveals over the past month they had been training with the Wild, Wild Pussycats in order to keep up with Izuku in the incoming conflict, and are now about to head out to continue their training.

The class train amongst themselves in the courtyard, where they discuss about their plans for the incoming conflict. Shortly after this, Eijiro and the rest of the class receive the devastating news that Izuku had just captured the Aoyama Family, learning that they have been spies for All For One, and Yuga was the traitor who isolated the class at the U.S.J. and revealed the location of their training camp. Restraining them in the AV room, he and the other class members refuse to back down from the news despite Nezu's request, all in stunned and tears of Yuga's betrayal. Eijiro himself begs Yuga to tell them it was all just a lie. He listens to Yuga's desperation that drove him to despair, followed by Izuku's pleading to let Yuga still help them.

The rest of the class quickly realize that they could have Yuga help deceive All For One and "steer the villains" into the fight, and when questioned why they're so willing to trust him, Tenya simply responds that what happened is in the past, and with them being unable to realize how he's been feeling all this time, they carry some responsibility, so they must reach out to him as friends in order for them to become equals again. Eijiro shouts that he knows Yuga thought it would be impossible to go against All For One, but now Izuku has given him and his parents a chance to finally break free from him, reminding him that they would never blame someone for being Quirkless, or would hate them for holding back their tears and hiding their pain in secret.

Shota then appears on a tablet screen, taking full responsibility and reveals that he has an idea, which Class 1-A, the U.A. Staff, and Police Force hear while the Aoyama Family's ears have been covered. Naomasa then has the Aoyama Family escorted back to their HQ, telling everyone not to say a word to anyone else about the plan, while he and the rest of the class look on sullenly.

Back at Heights Alliance, Class 1-A take a breather, before getting ready to gear back up, as everyone, with fire and rage in their eyes over the betrayal, prepare to bring All For One down once and for all. Eijiro and his classmates form their "Search Squad" and head out to hunt the villains.

Later that night the class returns to Heights Alliance to rest after coming up with nothing from their search. Just then, All Might, Naomasa, and Nezu arrive to inform them all about their secret finalized plans for the upcoming Second War. They bring in Hitoshi Shinso, to the class' excitement, learning that he has trained his Quirk to be able to get people to talk, and they will use this ability to allow the Aoyamas to deceive All For One. The class, including Eijiro, further cheers on Hitoshi, as well as Shota learning that he had trained him.

The next day, Nezu announces to the civilians that Tomura will make his big move in 4 days, with Class 1-A moving outside of the U.A. barrier to began prioritizing their safety. After saying their goodbyes, Eijiro and his classmates move into the upgraded makeshift fortress called "Troy". After settling in, he, Katsuki, and Tenya go to check in on Shoto to see how he is feeling about his impending confrontation with Dabi.

Final War Arc[]

With Tomura's completion approaching, the Heroes prepare for the Final War to defeat the army of villains led by All For One. Knowing that All For One is keeping tabs on the Heroes through Search, his mole Yuga Aoyama and his family are utilized in order to lure him out of hiding. Their next step of the plan is to make use of Kurogiri's Warp Gate to allow them to warp themselves into the fight, to catch All For One off guard, as well as warp the villains to locations all over Japan, separating them.

With Yuga leading Izuku into an isolated area, All For One finally re-emerges. However, Yuga overcomes his greatest fear and betrays All For One, hitting him with his Navel Laser. Annoyed, and since using Search he can tell all the Heroes Tomura faced are miles away, so All For One uses his Warping Quirk to summon an army of villains to overwhelm One For All once and seize his prize.

However, All For One is once again taken aback when he spots Kurogiri's Warp Gate starting to appear behind them, with Neito appearing from one of them. Eijiro teleports from U.A along with the the rest of the Heroes emerging from the gates to fight All For One and his army of villains.

With all of the villains in one place, All Might activates the Troy system as cages emerge from beneath the battlefield, trapping all the villains in individual metal containers. Neito summons several more Warp Gates around the cages, as the Heroes prepare to shove them all in, to split up the villains.

While the majority of his classmates and the Pro Heroes are assigned to face off against the major generals of the Paranormal Liberation Front, Eijiro is sent on a team led by Mt. Lady, which includes Mina, Minoru, and several 1-B students, to the ruins of the Jaku General Hospital, where Gigantomachia's Detainment Facility is stationed. Their plan is to defend it from the villains which they believe will try to attack and free the beast.

Sure enough, a subsection of the Paranormal Liberation Front attacks with the Heroes present putting up a fight. They also receive word that Shoto managed to defeat Dabi, giving them all the inspiration to continue to do their best. Right as Mina ends up encountering the villain who killed Midnight, taunting about how he'll run them all into the ground just like he did her, Eijiro arrives, stating the area's been properly secured, and after Shoto showed them how manly he was, they have to do their part now, ready to back Mina up.

While the team is able to take out most of the threats, several Villains are able to escape into the air using their Quirks, and using an ultra-high frequency emitter to broadcast All For One's voice, successfully re-awaken Gigantomachia, who promptly breaks free from his containment. Facing impending destruction, Eijiro races across the battlefield to find Hitoshi, as he had been warped to their location in case of an emergency, as he had helped him evade the Villains' detection at the start of the battle.

He reaches Hitoshi's hiding spot, telling him to brainwash Machia, however, he is shocked to find him currently being absorbed by the Sludge Villain, who gleefully taunts him. Eijiro tries everything he can to get Hitoshi free, but the Sludge is too much for him to deal with as Hitoshi continues to be consumed by the Villain.

However, Mina arrives just in time, using her Acid at max velocity, shoving her hand inside of the Sludge Villain, causing the Acid to mix in with the sludge, and forcing him to spit out Hitoshi. While Hitoshi brainwashes the Sludge Villain to prevent him from escaping, Mina voices her feelings on her own weakness even despite her fear, which is why she wants to be with people.

Hitoshi proceeds to brainwash and take command of Gigantomachia to attack the remaining threats, while Mina starts to pass out due to dehydration. Eijiro catches her, apologizing he's been a let down, and when she lets out that they are even, he responds that she never owed him a thing, because she's always been his hero.

With Machia under their control, and all the Villains defeated and restrained, Naomasa calls in to the Jaku Team for backup at the Gunga Mountains against the now rewinding All For One. Eijiro accompanies Hitoshi riding on Gigantomachia when they eventually reach All For One, with Machia commanded to throw a giant mountain right at him. Eijiro calls out to Fumikage, who is one of the Heroes chasing after him, telling him they are here to help ensure he doesn't reach Izuku and Tomura.

While Eijiro rides on Machia, All For One figures out that Hitoshi is the one in control of his behemoth, commenting that it is his tactic. Just as he is about to attack with a giant blast, Hawks calls out to Eijiro as he stands in the way to protect Hitoshi using his Red Riot Unbreakable. He is successfully able to defend him, however Gigantomachia is freed from the Brainwashing.

However, to everyone's surprise, Machia asks his master why he left him behind, venting about how even after he came back in Tomura's body, he still abandoned him and ran away, causing him to viciously attack him in full anger and rage. While behind Eijiro, Hitoshi notes how both Izuku and Machia are the only two to resist his Brainwashing, and how even with him under his control, he kept muttering about being betrayed. He declares that he is just along for the ride as a safety measure alongside his rage, adding that while a lot of people say his Quirk seems villainous, it has no control over a person's heart. The Heroes plus Machia continue to throw their full assault on All For One until he vanishes for good.

Even despite the Heroes and Gigantomachia's relentless assault, All For One gains the upperhand using his Quirks at their full power, completely decimating Mt. Lady, Gigantomachia, and Dark Shadow, leaving everyone in fear and shock. As the dust settles, all the Heroes, including Eijiro, lie battered, broken, bleeding to death, or dead, leaving All For One as the victor, before blasting away from the battlefield.

Abilities[]

  • Overall Abilities: Eijiro has proven to be a formidable combatant. His abilities earned him second place in the U.A. Entrance Exam, having a fair balance of both villain and rescue points, and 8th place in the Quirk Apprehension Test. Thanks to his Quirk, Eijiro's straightforward and reckless fighting style lets his hardened body take opposing hits while delivering counterattacks. Even bullets cannot pierce his skin when his Quirk is active, so that Eijiro can turn himself into a shield for allies or defenseless civilians. During the U.S.J. Incident, he and Katsuki attempted to take on Kurogiri before being warped away, leaving the pair to battle and soon defeat, low-tier members of the League of Villains. Eijiro has shown to be as formidable as Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, and due to their similar Quirks and fighting styles, the two were evenly matched during their battle at the U.A. Sports Festival, which resulted in a draw. The two hard-headed students were still on par with each other during their arm wrestling tie-breaker until Tetsutetsu's Steel Quirk began to weaken due to insufficient iron intake. Later, Eijiro impressively forced Katsuki, one of Class 1-A's strongest students, on the defensive for some time during their match before Eijiro's Quirk began to weaken, causing him to lose the battle. When he first underwent Hero Work-Studies, under the tutelage of Fat Gum, Eijiro confronted a villain who could protrude metal blades from his body, Eijiro was initially taken by surprise when the blade villain used the trigger drug to enhance his Quirk, but after bringing his Hardening to its maximum durability, the red-haired hero was able to overcome the villain's increased power and defeat him. Amid the Shie Hassaikai Raid, Eijiro and Fat Gum faced off against Kendo Rappa and Hekiji Tengai of the Eight Bullets, but Eijiro was heavily struck by a powerful punch from Kendo, leaving the sharp-toothed hero out of commission for the majority of the duel. Eventually, Eijiro regained his resolve, stepped in to endure Kendo's volley of punches efficaciously, and had the mettle to directly engage the former cage fighter with a blow that could have negated that of the latter, but Hekiji intervened with a barrier. During the first round of the Joint Training Battle, he and Koji Koda launched a collaboration attack on Jurota Shishida of Class 1-B that forced the latter into evading the said assault, implying their combined onslaught would've been effective against someone of his caliber. Jurota himself admitted that Eijiro was the only person in their battle that could pose a threat to his abilities, so he swiped the Sturdy hero aside to be captured by Ibara Shiozaki.
  • Enhanced Durability: Eijiro has above-average durability even without his Quirk. According to Katsuki, although Eijiro took a barrage of point-blank explosions during their fight at the U.A. Sports Festival, this was not due to Eijiro's armored skin alone. This statement proves that Eijiro's natural durability is relatively strong but can be amplified by his Hardening Quirk.
  • Indomitable Will: A prominent aspect of Eijiro is his die-hard chivalry. During his middle school days, Eijiro lacked the courage to stand up for others, despite desperately wanting to, but was too afraid to do so. However, after watching a video containing Crimson Riot's speech on chivalry and his heroic ideals, Eijiro re-evaluated himself and became a virile person who desires to help others no matter how scared he may be, even if it means recklessly rushing into situations. Eijiro changed his original black hair to the spiked, red appearance he now possesses to symbolize his admiration for Crimson Riot and his reformation into a more courageous person. Eijiro's heroic spirit remained steadfast when he voiced his intent to help save Katsuki, who had been abducted by the League of Villains, and proclaimed that he wouldn't stand by and do nothing. At the beginning of his and Fat Gum's battle against Kendo Rappa and Hekiji Tengai, Eijiro was incapacitated by Kendo's punch and despaired over being unable to help Fat Gum, who was being repeatedly pulverized by Kendo's powerful punches. But after recalling how he felt this same hopelessness in middle school and overcame it with inspiration from different people, Eijiro regained his resolve to stand up for others and be a hero. With his conviction re-established, Eijiro jumped into the fray, refortified his hardened body, allowing him to withstand better Kendo's bullet punches than at the beginning of the bout, and nearly faced the brawler head-on, compelling Hekiji to protect Kendo with a barrier. Because of Eijiro, Fat Gum gathered the accumulated energy from Kendo's punches and defeated the yakuza duo. In the aftermath, Fat Gum and Kendo acknowledged Eijiro's fighting spirit, with the latter being so impressed that he desires to one day have a rematch with the young hero.

Quirk[]

  • Hardening ( Kōka?): Eijiro's Quirk gives him the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, causing his flesh to become jagged and rock-like. There is a limit to how much damage his hardened body can withstand, which causes the Hardening itself to slowly dissipate, and Eijiro to lose stamina from struggling to keep his Quirk active. However, when he battled Kendo Rappa, Eijiro displayed the ability to refortify his hardened body. As part of his training, Eijiro, in his hardened form, was continuously attacked by Mashirao Ojiro's Tail, and with each hit, the strength and durability of Eijiro's Quirk increased.
  • Enhanced Durability: Eijiro's Quirk grants him greatly enhanced durability. His hardened body has displayed the ability to withstand a great deal of punishment for extended periods of time, including:
    • Several tons of scrap metal from a Villain Bot - Executor falling on top of him.
    • A number of point-blank explosions from Katsuki.
    • Bullets being fired at him.
    • A shower of blades produced by a villain whose blade Quirk was strengthened by the Quirk-enhancing drug, Trigger.
    • A series of powerful punches from Kendo Rappa, whose Strongarm Quirk increases the power of his blows, which are strong enough to penetrate stone.
    • Chojuro Kon's full-power flame breath being fired at point-blank range.
    • Dabi's flames burning his body.
    • Gigantomachia swiping him away.
  • Enhanced Strength: When using his Quirk, Eijiro's physical strength is increased, enabling him to break through most obstacles. He demonstrated this heightened brawn multiple times during the Sports Festival, starting with easily digging through the remnants of Villain Bots. In his arm-wrestling match against Tetsutetsu, Eijiro's fingers dug through the concrete podium on which the match took place, and he eventually broke the surface. When fighting Cementoss, Eijiro and Rikido Sato were able to break a multitude of concrete walls before they were eventually worn out. Eijiro was also able to break multiple metal blades with a single elbow strike, as well as to destroy a concrete wall with Izuku's help. During the climax of the battle against Kendo Rappa, Eijiro threw a punch that was seen as powerful enough to force Hekiji Tengai into blocking the attack with a barrier.

Ultimate Moves[]

  • Red Counter ( Reddo Kauntā?): While hardened, Eijiro endures a close-range attack with his skin and then counters with a straight punch.
  • Unbreakable ( Anbureikaburu?): Eijiro reaches his maximum hardening level by turning his entire body extremely hard and rugged, giving him a monstrous appearance, and allowing him practical invulnerability to most forms of physical attacks. This form can only be maintained for around thirty to forty seconds.
  • Red Gauntlet ( Reddo Gantoretto?) Eijiro rushes towards the enemy and delivers a single strong punch to the gut against them. This technique deals massive damage if Eijiro is in his "Unbreakable" form.

U.A. High School[]

Class 1-A[]

Katsuki Bakugo[]

Eijiro and Katsuki have a mutual friendship. They are often seen together during class, and despite Katsuki's aggressive behavior, it has been indicated that the two of them are friends. Eijiro has described Katsuki as being "manly," a quality that Eijiro is known to favor.

Before getting to know each other, it is suggested that Eijiro did not admire Katsuki, as is seen in the Battle Trial Arc. Eijiro openly criticized Katsuki's fighting tactics as "unmanly," a discredit to Katsuki's hit-and-run tactic on Izuku. Later on, however, while working together in the U.S.J. arc, the two team up, soon sparking Eijiro's admiration for Katsuki, and what would turn into a friendship in time. Ejiro goes on to describe Katsuki as "manly" on a few occasions, a clear sign of respect for him.

During the Sports Festival, Katsuki called Eijiro "hedgehog hair", bringing about an irritated Eijiro, who pointed out his similar hairstyle. Eijiro asked Katsuki to let him join him during the cavalry battle after Eijiro couldn't join Shoto Todoroki's team. Regardless, Katsuki accepted Eijiro's proposal after Eijiro mentioned taking down Izuku Midoriya's team. He later called Eijiro by his last name, showing he has come to respect and or acknowledge him. Although Katsuki defeats Eijiro in battle, this only furthered his respect for Katsuki.

Due to his upbeat personality, Eijiro is usually unfazed by Katsuki's abrasive behavior. When Katsuki's divisive attitude arises, Eijiro often makes an effort to subdue it. Eijiro has also been known on occasion to criticize Katsuki's demeanor, as in the Provisional License Exam. During the Forest Training Camp Arc, Eijiro was exceedingly worried for him when it was announced that the villains were looking specifically for Katsuki. He also initiates the mission to rescue Katsuki after he's kidnapped, while calling him his friend.

As noted by Izuku, Eijiro is the only one in their rescue party who can call out to help Katsuki without hurting Katsuki's pride, which was proven true and shows that Katsuki is not intimidated by Eijiro calling out to him.

During the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, Denki stated that Katsuki had reduced the power of his explosions to avoid harming Eijiro and himself.

When Eijiro was sad about almost getting him and his classmates expelled, Katsuki paid him back for the 50,000 yen night vision goggles Eijiro bought to rescue Katsuki. When Eijiro openly voices his self-doubts, Katsuki reminded Eijiro that Eijiro proclaimed he is an unwavering horse during the Sports Festival and says Eijiro can be as strong as All Might if he refuses to go down. Eijiro later thinks of this the first time he uses Unbreakable.

During the Joint Training Arc, Eijiro watches Katsuki cooperate with his team and lead them efficiently. He tells a shocked Neito Monoma that Katsuki has developed in terms of character.

Denki Kaminari[]

Since they happened to be seated behind one another in class, they became friends and often make comments to each other. They were later assigned to work together along with Katsuki for the Provisional License Exam. They have similar, congenial personalities, although Eijiro is more boisterous compared to Denki, who is more mischievous instead.

Proof of this friendship is that Denki is the first one to congratulate Eijiro for his hero debut defeating a villain alone while he was patrolling on his first day of Hero Work-Studies at the Fat Gum Agency, showing everyone the news of his feat.

Izuku Midoriya[]

Eijiro is on good terms with Izuku. Even before having formerly met one another, Eijiro heard of Izuku's decision to jump into action against the Sludge Villain despite not recognizing him when they met and respected him immensely for it. In the U.S.J. Arc, when Izuku was wounded from trying to help All Might with Tomura Shigaraki, Eijiro quickly tried to help him.

In U.A. Sports Festival Arc, after Shoto told Izuku that he will defeat him in the festival, Eijiro tried to stop any further arguing, and when Izuku started to talk negatively about himself, Eijiro tried to encourage him. He also told Izuku that he is envious of his Quirk.

He also seems to admire Izuku's growing confidence and appears to be impressed by his quick thinking and logical reasoning. He also seems capable of understanding Izuku's feelings to a certain extent, understanding how he felt when he was unable to rescue Katsuki.

During the Hideout Raid Arc, Eijiro asks Izuku to help him in his plans to rescue Katsuki from the League of Villains, since he knew they were close. In return, Izuku was aware of the bond Eijiro shares with Katsuki, which gave him an idea for Eijiro to be the one to retrieve him and it worked.

Days before the Shie Hassaikai Raid, Eijiro consoled Izuku after he told him, Ochaco, and Tsuyu what happened after meeting with Eri and Overhaul. In the Shie Hassaikai Arc, Eijiro and Izuku are shown to be on even better terms than previously, often interacting in friendly ways.

He participated in the battle to bring Izuku back to U.A. after All For One began hunting him. It is revealed that he was well aware that Izuku once tried to save Katsuki from the Sludge Villain. He compared what the class was doing was similar to how he took action. This showed that he respected his fellow classmate for his bravery.

Hanta Sero[]

Eijiro and Hanta are good friends with each other. Hanta, Denki, and Eijiro are often seen hanging out together. The three of them will typically joke around a lot and seem to have a great sense of humor, being the more extroverted members of the class.

The friendship between the two is so strong that, after learning that Eijiro was one of his classmates who had participated in the Shie Hassaikai Raid, Sero was one of those who presented more concern for his friend, slightly annoyed that he had not been told anything about that situation.

Mina Ashido[]

Eijiro gets along well with Mina despite not interacting with her as much as he does with some of his other classmates. The two collaborated together on Team Bakugo during the Sports Festival Arc and seemed to work well together.

It was revealed that the two went to the same middle school. During their senior year, Eijiro tried to stop two students from bullying an underclassman but did not succeed. Afterwards, Eijiro witnessed Mina step in and solve the issue by getting the student and the two bullies to break dance, diffusing the situation and ending the issue. Eijiro seems to admire Mina but also begins to feel self-conscious of the fact that Mina is exciting and heroic. This is reinforced later when he attempts to stop a a villain but his legs freeze up and Mina stops the villain instead.

Eijiro later apologizes to Mina and her classmates for not being able to do anything to stop the villain. Eventually, he and Mina both take the U.A. Entrance Exam together and pass. On their first day of high school, Eijiro undergoes a complete appearance change, dying his hair red and spiking it up in a style that is inspired by Crimson Riot. His hairstyle also appears to have two little horns. Mina picks up on this and decides to call themselves horn buddies.

It's at this moment that Eijiro vows to say goodbye to his pathetic old-self to her and swears that he's gonna be the kind of Hero that never has any regrets. The past incident took a toll on Eijiro's self-confidence, as the guilt was eating him alive. Mina realizes this so she teases him and lightens the mood by poking him repeatedly and telling him not to overload himself with pressure. It appears she shows concern for him in her own playful way. Mina then smiles at Eijiro and tells him to tell her when he really does overcome his regrets from the past. This act of care and kindness touched his heart and "awakened his chivalrous spirit" as he smiles back at her in agreement and apologizes.

She is shown to express concern for him after knowing about Shie Hassaikai Raid, checking to see if he's moved on from his past yet.

In U.A. School Festival, while Class 1-A practiced stage performance, Hanta mentioned Mina is such a demon-coach but Eijiro defended her by telling Hanta, "Because when you love something you can give it your all," showing that Eijiro is aware of how much effort she put into the stage performance.

During the Joint Training Arc, Eijiro praised Mina for her effective attack, he also concerned when she got attacked too.

Before the start of Paranormal Liberation War Arc, Mina unveiled a new defensive Ultimate Move called Acidman. She excitedly tells Eijiro that she created it by imitating his "Unbreakable" move. Eijiro seems to be pretty flattered that she created a new Ultimate Move inspired by him.

In the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, Eijiro rushed through fire to save Mina from being crushed by Gigantomachia and managed to grab and take her falling 30-liter vial filled with sedative with him, it's later shown that he failed to throw his own vial into Gigantomachia's mouth due to Himiko Toga destroying it by throwing her knife at him so he grabbed Mina's falling vial and threw it into Gigantomachia's mouth while thinking about Mina's chivalrous spirit being in good hands. They survived Gigantomachia's destruction and went back to save other injured heroes together.

In the Final War Arc, both of them engage the villain forces in the Jaku hospital ruins. After Mina saves Hitoshi Shinso from the Sludge Villain, she passes out in Kirishima's arms due to dehydration. Kirishima apologizes to her for being a letdown, and she tells him that they're even. Kirishima rebukes this by saying she never owed him anything and that she's always been his hero.

Shoto Todoroki[]

Eijiro has good relations with Shoto. Previously, they barely interacted and the only significant event was when Eijiro tried to stop Shoto from declaring war on Izuku for the Sports Festival.

They interact more with the kidnapping of Katsuki, as both agreed to go rescue him even though such action would go against the rules. During the rescue mission, they worked together without any problem.

After this, it is seen that their relationship between them improves and they interact more often, supporting each other. For example, after Neito Monoma made fun how two students in 1-A failed the Provisional Hero License Exam, whereas everyone in Class 1-B passed, Shoto apologizes to his classmates for being one of those who failed, but Eijiro tries to make light to comfort him, saying that Neito is turning it into a fake competition.

When Chimera fought the students on Nabu Island for a second time, Eijiro cooperated with Shoto by be his shield for getting close to Chimera while trying to get closer they thought back to the time they went to rescue Katsuki together.

After Shoto's fight with Dabi and his broadcast, Eijiro attempted to comfort him along with his classmates.

Rikido Sato[]

They were paired up together in the final exams against Cementoss and they got along.

When the students moved into dorms, Eijiro was jealous at the popularity Rikido was getting for baking a cake. He still enjoyed the cake, though.

Kyoka Jiro[]

Even though both haven't directly interacted on a one on one conversation, both are seen talking with each other in the background with other classmates such as Denki and Hanta, and sometimes Mina, showing a friendly outcome. Eijiro also asked Kyoka to sing when others were also asking and was soon entertained by her voice, showing complete support to his peer.

Minoru Mineta[]

Like the rest of his classmates, Eijiro is often disgusted by his perverted behavior. When Minoru was drooling over attending the Quirk Training Camp with the girls from both classes A and B, Eijiro told him to pull himself together. Later on while the boys were bathing in the hot springs, he was clearly embarrassed and grossed out upon seeing Minoru's intention to scale the wall and peek on the girls. Beforehand, when complimenting Momo Yaoyorozu's aptitude, he also yelled at Minoru for ogling her behind.

Yuga Aoyama[]

While their interaction is quite minimal, Eijiro cares for Yuga as he does the rest of his classmates. The two competed, along with Minoru, on who would perform the lead vocals during their performance in the U.A. School Festival, only for Kyoka to gain that role after hearing her singing voice.

After Yuga and his parents were revealed to be spies for All For One, Eijiro was greatly shocked and devastated along with the rest of his classmates and he begged for Yuga to say that it was all a lie. Despite this, he later desired to forgive Yuga and help him and his parents break free from All For One's grasp. He also defended Yuga from an angered Katsuki, saying that he would've found it impossible to go against All For One alone and that they never would've blamed him for being Quirkless and enduring his pain in secret.

Class 1-B[]

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu[]

Eijiro and Tetsutetsu initially had a rocky relationship because of their similar Quirks. During the U.A. Sports Festival, they met when they both survived being crushed by a 0-Point Villain. As the festival progressed, Eijiro resented being constantly compared to Tetsutetsu, like when Present Mic gave them similar intros prior to their match against one another.

Since their Quirks are very similar, the two weren't able to defeat each other during the U.A. Sports Festival, meaning that they had to compete in an arm wrestling match to decide the winner of their one-on-one. Eijiro won and congratulated Tetsutetsu on a battle well fought, starting their eventual friendship. In Eijiro's next match, Tetsutetsu cheered for him to knock Katsuki out.

They both proved to be on good terms with each other when they ended up interning together at Fourth Kind's Hero Agency. They were initially surprised to see each other, but instead of lamenting about comparisons, they friendly greeted each other.

After the Joint Training Battle, where Eijiro played a very poor role while Tetsu was outstanding, Tetsutetsu criticizes Eijiro for presenting a defeatist attitude in front of him when comparing their fights during their respective battles, especially for comparing their respective Quirk. Although in a somewhat rough way, Tetsutetsu cheers up Eijiro, telling him that Hardening and Steel are different Quirks with their own strengths and weaknesses, and reminds Eijiro that his Quirk becomes tougher and tougher when he gets beat, without having a limit as to its hardness. These words make Eijiro recover his mood.

Other schoolmates[]

Tamaki Amajiki[]

Eijiro and Tamaki have a senpai-kouhai relationship as they were both in an internship under the care of Fat Gum. During his internship, Eijiro develops more closeness with Tamaki and is shown to have a lot of respect for him, as he is seen praising the latter's abilities multiple times and refusing to let go of the criminal who had previously shot Tamaki. He is also grateful to Tamaki because it was Tamaki who invited Eijiro to join the Fat Gum team.

Eijiro cares for him, as after Tamaki was shot, Eijiro stepped in front of him and received the second bullet. Later, in the operation to save Eri, he became concerned when Tamaki was left behind to fight three Yakuza members alone, but after hearing Fat Gum's words, Eijiro expressed confidence in Tamaki's abilities to take over the three enemies.

At some point before the operation, Eijiro and Tamaki patrolled near a food stall together and they talked about relationships with their friends. Fat Gum learns that a suspicious villain was hovering near a festival and asked Eijiro and Tamaki to infiltrate the festival to catch him. After catching the Villain, they continued patrolling together.

In return, Tamaki respects Eijiro and compares him to Mirio saying they both have an "optimist personality."

Pro Heroes[]

Crimson Riot[]

Eijiro idolizes a retro pro hero called Crimson Riot and desires to become a hero, just like him. Eijiro chose his Hero Name "Red Riot" to pay homage to him.

In his middle school days, when Eijiro was questioning his dream of becoming a hero, it is an old footage of Crimson Riot that reignites his passion for heroism. Eijiro shares many of his values with Crimson Riot, most notably Crimson Riot's high regard for manliness and chivalry.

Fourth Kind[]

Eijiro idolizes Fourth Kind and worked under him. He greatly respects Fourth Kind and saw being punished by him as a great honor.

Fat Gum[]

Eijiro respects Fat Gum and picked him for his internship, though he admits that he only picked Fat Gum because Fourth Kind was unavailable. Eijiro is impressed by Fat Gum's abilities as a hero and takes every advice he gives him seriously. Eijiro's desire to protect Fat Gum allowed him to go beyond his own self-doubts and fears, meaning he cares greatly for the latter's safety.

Villains[]

Kendo Rappa[]

Eijiro faced Rappa along with Fat Gum during the Shie Hassaikai Raid. When the enormous force of Rappa's fists managed to destroy his Unbreakable, Eijiro was about to be dominated by his insecurities but when he saw Fat Gum in danger, he managed to overcome and used himself as a shield to protect Fat Gum, which allowed him to defeat Rappa.

That act of courage made Rappa respect Eijiro, to the point of helping him heal himself with the purpose that they could face each other again. That confrontation also made Eijiro respect Rappa, gaining even more motivation to train his Quirk and make him even more resistant.
